Caren and Patti:  We are back!!!!!   

I cannot express in words how impressed I have been with your services.  From day one, when I made the initial phone call to you, Caren, you were right there guiding me through this process, understanding my concerns, answering all of my questions, responding to my e-mails, etc.

I love the fact that you require your clients to fill out such extensive paperwork!  It shows your attention to detail and it makes me, the client, feel secure knowing that EVERY situation is thought of ahead of time, with security measures in place so that no pet can ever be forgotten!!!! 

Patti, you are the best pet-sitter in the world!!!!  (Caren, you were right that we would do well with Patti!)  Not only did you take the greatest care of Sammy that I could ever hope for, but you washed the pets' dishes and extra food dishes, took out our trash, brought in our mail, took care of Daisy and Dolly (and strays), and scooped the litter boxes!!!  And on top of all of that, the notes and e-mails!!!!  I SO LOVED receiving special e-mails telling me about the day with our pets, and how they were all doing!  And then when we got home, there was a journal of every day!!!  And what a fabulous idea to take a picture of Sammy (looking happy, above) and sending it to us the day before we got home!!!  What a smile you put on our faces!!!!!  You went above and beyond. 

I have not gone away without Sammy for many years because I know how attached he is to me (and I to him!)  Since I planned this vacation in February, I have been sort of dreading it, because I couldn't bear to think about how Sammy would fare.   I know that there are many pet-sitting services out there, but I never thought that I could trust them in my home and with my animals.  Never in a million, zillion years would I have believed, if you told me a month ago, that I could actually go on vacation and totally enjoy myself knowing that my pets were well-cared for and happy!!!  But you both made me feel so good during the week leading up to my departure date, and I knew in my heart that I could trust you.  To me, this was almost a miracle that this worked out so well.

My husband and I have recently relocated to be closer to family, and while we are excited about the move, we are really going to miss For Pets' Sake's services.  Donnie had taken care of our dog, Red whenever we were out of town.  Red is a big, lovable, chow-mix who can't get enough walks.  Red came from the SPCA and gets too stressed out when staying in kennels, so we were excited to find a service that would allow him to stay in our home where he is most comfortable.  Donnie and the other For Pets' Sake sitters have always gone above and beyond, even spending extra time with Red when they had the chance.  My husband and I enjoyed reading the notes that were left telling us about Red's adventures when we got home.  We have never had to worry about Red's well being while he was in For Pets' Sake's care.  They even made an emergency stop at our house when my son was born!  We wish For Pets' Sake all the best!

I recently moved 45 minutes from my hometown, family and most of my friends and my only concern was my dog Masons’ care.  I work in the city, and on some occasions Mason would have to be home alone for up to 14 hours.  Having a dog with anxiety issues, a kennel is not an option. "This is a "testimonial" letter regarding your pet sitting service.  For eight years (time flies when you are having fun), you faithfully came to our home to care for our Springer Spaniel, Cocoa, whenever we needed a dog sitter.  At the beginning, Cocoa was a bit of a challenge since he was a rescue dog.  We were amazed at how well you handled him, and always gave us much needed advice on how to handle him in certain situations.  You let us know if any problems arose during your time with him.

Quito has me chasing him around your apartment when it's time for me to leave (I've been staying way extra long for him.)  Someone told me about For Pets' Sake and how they will help train your dog by coming to your house midday for a potty break and walk.  I was a little skeptical at first about leaving my house key with a stranger, but I was frustrated and confused about what to do with Daisy so I decided to give For Pets' Sake a try.  

 When I called, they [Caren and Lisa] were very friendly and [Caren] gave me some great advice during the very first call.  I scheduled an appointment to meet Daisy's walker, Barb within a couple of days . Daisy took a liking to Barb right away; she was warm, kind, and loving to Daisy, which eased my mind about this whole experience.  Soon thereafter I [made arrangements with the For Pets' Sake Office to] schedule daily visits with Barb to let Daisy out for a potty break and a nice walk. Within a few days I could tell Daisy was much less anxious about me leaving her home all day and within a few short weeks I could tell Daisy was learning not to potty in the house (although still had one or two accidents here or there mainly because I was not paying attention to her warning signs! ).  

 It's been 3 months now and Daisy is doing so well with Barb.  My neighbors
tell me they occasionally see Barb walking Daisy around the neighborhood
and how much fun she and Daisy are having on their walks together. They
tell me how patient Barb is with Daisy and how they sometimes stop and
play for a bit on their walks.  

 Barb leaves progress reports for me each day so I know how Daisy is doing during her visits and gives me some helpful advice when Daisy is struggling with some issues...For instance, Daisy likes to bark her head off when she sees people outside, so Barb and I coordinate which commands we will use to teach her not to bark.  This way we can be consistent with Daisy.

Overall my experience has been great and I would recommend For Pets' Sake to anyone who has a dog and feels guilty about leaving them home alone."

"I just wanted to thank you and the wonderful pet sitters at For Pets’ Sake for the exceptional care during our last vacation.  As we had discussed, it was for an extended period of time and it was over the Christmas holidays.  The For Pets’ Sake team took care of our home and our cat, Butterscotch (with Caren at right), while we were gone and you were good enough to take care of our Golden Retriever puppy, Apollo, at your own home while we were gone.  Knowing that Apollo would be with someone all day and night made it much easier to be away. 

I must admit, it is difficult to leave ones pets for even one night, never mind, three weeks!  I knew from past experience that they would be in good hands but that was proven to me when we returned home.  Apollo (at left with Caren) was as happy as could be when we got home.  Butterscotch usually “punishes” us by stalking upstairs and sulking for a day or two when we leave her, but even she was happy!  As expected, everything at home was taken care of.  One could not ask for better or more reliable service than that which is provided by For Pets’ Sake.  I extend a very sincere thank you to you and your exceptional staff.

Thanks, too for bringing Riley's food preference to our attention. We just started trying the new wet/dry combo routine a few weeks before we left and I didn't pick up on that he left more when I used the chicken liver flavor. You are absolutely right! Yesterday, we picked up some more turkey and rice and also beef and chicken, which he seems to like. He would still prefer to have only dry food, but I think the mixture satisfies them longer and keeps  their weight a little more reasonable.

Lastly, thanks for calling Sunday morning to make sure we were home. From now on, I'll be sure to email the day/night we return so you won't have to call (although it is always nice to hear from you). Again, many thanks for taking such special care of everything."
